Twenty-five yacht clubs and marinas offer endless opportunities to enjoy windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving and rowing

 

The beauty of the coast and the warm Mediterranean climate allow visitors to practice water sports all year round. There are 25 yacht clubs and marinas with over 10,000 berths, providing high-quality facilities to enable the practice of these sports while at the same time protecting the environment and seabeds.

 

The Mediterranean allows visitors to enjoy its waters both on the surface and at the bottom of the sea. Some of its seabeds are protected, such as the Marine Reserve of Tabarca and the Natural Reserve of the Cape of San Antonio, located between Denia and Javea. Scuba divers can enjoy the sea's beautiful flora and fauna. Sailing is one of the most popular water sports in the region, thanks to its soft winds and the number of sailing schools for beginners. This is followed by windsurfing, kite surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, rowing and an endless number of other activities.

 

To all this we must add that the Costa Blanca hosts yacht races and other sporting events throughout the year. The most important is the start of the Volvo Ocean Race in Alicante, which takes place every three years and has led to the development of a wide range of activities and facilities linked to this competition, such as the Volvo Ocean Race Museum.
