Almoradí Town is known as the heart of the Vega Baja not only because of its location but also for its culture, gastronomy and sociology.

It is situated just 15 mins drive from the coast of Guardamar and less than 40 mins drive from Alicante airport.

Almoradi is still very much an agricultural Town but is also famous on the Costa Blanca for its many furniture shops. In the Town you will find a multitude of shops that are open all year round such as, banks, butchers, chemists, 24 hour health centre, doctors, dentists, vets, gyms, bike shops, bakeries, hairdressers, clothes shops etc but Almoradi is by far most popular for its amazing Saturday Market

The Towns theatre shows regular productions. Other interesting buildings in Almoradi are the Casino, the San Andrés Church with a Christ statue similar to the one presiding over the city of Rio de Janeiro and not forgetting the Town Hall situated in the Town Square.

Almoradi is located near to the Segura River and fertile lands making Almoradi one of the main artichoke producing areas in the Vega Baja, the local artichokes are recognized for their quality and are not only sold here in the whole of Spain but are also exported worldwide.
